Weight Control Warning Signs You May Have Seen Before

Don't risk your life and break the hearts of your loved ones by going the wrong way on the quick weight loss route. Follow the body's metabolic rules and do it right. Like so many other millions of us who ignore the rules of proper dieting and exercise, you rather satisfy appetite and "enjoy" life. Don't!

Forty is the magic figure. Life begins at forty. If you hit this number and haven't started to take care of your health, you may be heading for trouble.

For many people, it's by this age that they'll notice that youthfulness comes in fancy cosmetic packaging. But how can you maintain your looks and your speed after extinguishing 40 candles on your birthday cake?

Medical research holds that "diet, exercise, and behavior modification still compose the gold standard of treatment" (Aronne, 2001) for weight loss.  However, the medical community believes that morbidly obese patients should consider the irreversible path of obesity surgery. How far should you go before considering this option of no return?

No one has to tell you that it is much  easier to gain weight than to lose it. Yes, the weight loss road is a rough path, with  lots of twists and turns as well. How can you steer straight to your goal of weight control, in spite of the many obstacles you are bound to face?

Every person contemplating a weight loss program faces at least two kinds of stop signals. You must stop doing what you're doing or you will continue to get what you're getting. The other stop sign shows up during weight loss... You have to really ignore this one, or you end up right back where you started.

Who is not aware when they need to exit the "fast food lane?" Even now, countless patrons are calling for burgers, buns, and brunches laden with saturated fat, cholesterol, and sodium, while still planning to lose weight. Exit now.

What do you do when you find that you are losing the battle of weight control? The answer is simple: make a U-turn. It always works. The principle is; if you keep on doing what you're doing, you will keep on getting what you're getting. If at present you are getting fat, make the turn; it's permitted.

Every winter you are certain to take notice of this sign. If you exercise outdoors, it is especially significant because it means your pleasant spring jogging trails may be frozen. There is no gentle warm breeze to greet you anymore. It takes determination to keep up your weight loss efforts. Here are some options that I have used to stay on the exercise trail during the winter months.
