Are You Next to Have Normal Blood Sugar Levels In Days Using Just Four Simple Steps Without Unnecessary Drug Side Effects?
I have found that having normal blood sugar levels today is easier than reversing hair loss. And you may not even need to count calories again! If you have type 2 diabetes or have a relative who is a type 2 diabetic, please listen to this bit of "been-there-done-that" personal advice.
This is not a doctor giving instructions on how to have normal blood sugar. This is my personal experience as a type 2 diabetic who used to have uncontrolled blood sugar levels. There is a scar on my right wrist that reminds me of those days. It was a small burn from a lawn mower. It took nearly 6 months to heal because my blood sugars were high. My doctor threatened to put me on insulin at one time. However, since early 2006 my blood sugar level has been well controlled without medication.
How did I do that?
How to have normal blood sugar levels by making simple adjustments in habits
This article looks at four areas. Diet, exercise, rest, and supplementation. You may think you have heard this before. But wait, I bet you haven't, or your blood sugar would not be high or you would not still be on medication for blood sugar control. Hear me out, and follow this closely.
Normal blood sugar by reforming the diet
The first thing is to know what causes diabetes. It's not carbohydrates, even though that is the main thing people with diabetes try to stay away from. Eating carbohydrates does not cause diabetes, but being diabetic means you do not metabolize carbohydrates well. So we need to tackle the cause of the problem and not spend all our time masking the symptoms.
Okay! So first thing is to stay away from those low carb diets - they lead to malnutrition and more problems than they are worth. Your aim in controlling your blood sugar level is to get your body metabolizing glucose normally again - as it used to do before you were diabetic. Now most people do not think this can happen, including your doctor!
But wait, you promised to hear me out, right?
After experiencing normal blood glucose levels, there is little need to actually count your carbs - eat healthy foods freely.
You want to replace all refined carbohydrates with complex, high fiber carbohydrates. Why? Complex high fiber carbohydrates are "slow release" carbs - they do not cause the kind of blood sugar spike that refined carbs do. Brown rice instead of white rice, 100% whole bread instead of white bread, high fiber foods such as tubers, lots of fresh vegetables (green beans, cabbage, brussel sprouts, etc), and corn, in place of canned sweet potatoes, pancakes, and muffins.
What is the aim here? It is to ingest normal amounts of carbohydrates BUT with enough natural fiber content to (a) keep you full longer so you won't have to snack or graze all the time, and (b) decrease the tendency to having spikes in blood sugar levels.
"Oh, but doing this won't control my blood sugar?"
No, dietary changes alone are not enough to guarantee normal blood sugar levels, but they may provide the biggest effect. Now, a lot of people have said they have made changes in their diet and they still have elevated blood sugars. The question is: what have they changed? Do not just "cut back" on certain foods. Instead, cut out those foods from your diet. Go for the challenge. Do it for a few weeks, SIMULTANEOUSLY with the other recommendations below, and SURPRIZE yourself!
Note that your dietitian may not agree with a 65 - 75% carbohydrate diet. Surely, I would still be on a calorie restricted diet if I did not take matters in my own hands. If you are not able to do what comes next in concert with the dietary changes your efforts could be counterproductive.
Ensuring normal blood sugar levels by exercising regularly
The problem in type 2 diabetes is that insulin does not get blood glucose into the cells; either because there is not enough of it available or because the receptor sites on cells are not sensitive to your insulin. In either case, physical exercise is a way of stimulating the muscle cells to open up more receptor sites for accepting glucose molecules.
For normal blood sugar levels, physical exercise, like dietary change, is a must. However, this pays huge dividends! Target the big muscles. Strength training exercises have the biggest payoff. There is no need to get fancy. Forget the abdominal sculpting routines. Work steadily, consistently on keeping your muscles in a physical state where they will respond to insulin. Target the muscles in your back and shoulders. Those large muscles are very often under-utililized. Leg muscles are the easiest to get going. Squats will get these going.

In my case, perhaps the best effect of exercise came from the advice of my friend and health educator, James Luke. Even to this day, his advice has been the best and most effective. Here it is: Go for a brisk walk every morning (7 days a week) for one hour. NB: I suggest you start with 30 minutes and work your way up to an hour if you are not in good physical condition. I found this especially rewarding on a neighborhood park trail. It has been very relaxing, breathing the fresh oxygenated, ionized air and listening to the birds, watching the squirrels, and yes - the people too.
Don't have time to exercise for an hour? Well, for me, it was either I took the time to exercise or I took the time to be sick. After a week, the feeling was so great, I knew from then this would be a habit. Note that it is not the number of miles you walk AND there is no need to run. In fact, don't run. Save you knees ESPECIALLY if you carry an oversized waistline! The key is endurance. Your body will soon sense that you have increased energy demands and, trust me, those muscles will respond.
Normal blood sugar level readings will start to show up on your testing meter soon. Persist. Now for the next important step. But remember...
All these steps MUST be done simultaneously. There is no need to stop your prescription medication, but test often, because you are bound to be making adjustments to your dosage very soon.
Normal blood sugar levels by doing nothing... um, sleeping
In case you think this is not important, there are several studies that have proven that people develop symptoms of diabetes simply by being deprived of sleep. I have become convinced that sleep deprivation was the single biggest factor in my development of type 2 diabetes. Being a computer hobyist (a geek of sorts) I spent many hours, for years, learning programming languages, writing games, trying to control the world from my PC. [Hey, I actually own Paul Bergsman's book: Controlling the World With Your PC.] I've spent many nights on a hobby that has now become what I now do for a living, but at the expense of my health.
Anyway, lack of sleep was my big problem. From these studies, it is clear that it is not just the number of hours of sleep that affects our health, but the time when we go to sleep. In other words, it is better to go to sleep at latest 10 PM at nights because during the hours 10:00 PM to 2:00 AM is that time when our system is most efficient at repairing damaged tissues and replacing worn out cells.
Sleep experts advise that we cooperate with the body's circadian rhythm, and we are told that we cannot trick our bodies - no matter how well lit we make our environment. Your body machine "knows" when it is night.
Getting 7-8 hours of sleep per night is key to having normal blood sugar levels and is good for optimum health and longevity. And diabetics do need the extra benefit from sleep. In addition, given that it has been shown repeatedly that sleep deprivation disrupts the body's ability to metabolize glucose, we must pay attention to the time as well as the amount of sleep we get every night.
Extra boost for normal blood sugar level control from natural supplements
Type 2 diabetes does not happen overnight. It is a slow process and usually occurs simultaneously with other related ailments, such as cardiovascular problems, obesity, etc. Similarly, the control of elevated blood sugar levels does not come easy. It's true that drugs or insulin may bring quick drops in blood sugar levels. But note that drugs do not fix the problem we have developed slowly over the years, instead many of them compound the problems. Consider the many reaclls we have had over recent years!
There are natural food supplements that help to give our bodies that extra boost to achieving normal blood sugar levels without hurting ourselves - that is, without side effects. I have shared my experience with the Milagro de la Selva tea on my website. I am mentioning this again because, somehow I just feel that there are many type 2 diabetics, who like me just did not realize that there was a way to reverse the symptoms of type 2 diabetes have normal blood sugar levels without side effects, without drugs, and for as long as they chooose. I found out on searching for an alternative because I had an alergic reaction to metformin.
For normal blood sugar levels, I am strongly recommending these two diabetes nutritional supplements as products that I have used, trusted, and benefitted from. I admit that there are other good products on the market BUT I HAVE NOT TRIED THEM and I cannot recommend them to you. These I know and have experienced - I would readily give to my mother, were she diabetic!
Here is what I would have you consider if you want to try these products for normalizing your blood sugar.
- (a) Milagro de la Selva tea is liquid - a tea. You need to infuse it and drink it three times a day. It is quite simple, and I have prepared a video on YouTube to show you how I do that. Even when I travel, I can take Milagro de la Selva, because I store it in a thermos flask. It looks like coffee, but it tastes pleasant and NEEDS NO SUGAR OR SWEETNERS, please! This thing grabbed my attention after 10 days when I noticed I was having hypos! Do not stop your medication, but monitor your glucose level to see when those numbers start dropping.
- (b) Multiple clinical studies have been done on this tea. It is a cleanser and gives the added benefit of lowering cholesterol levels. I have not experienced that, however, since (thankfully) that has not been one of my problems. I love the tea because I do not like pills.
- (c) Diametrix diabetes support has the distinction of being tested in double blind clinical trials and has come out with amazing results. Considering that it is a special blend of several well-known herbs used to achieve normal blood sugar levels, this product is great if you like the convenience of simply popping a pill. Many users have also loved the weight loss benefit they get from using this product as well.
- (d) Both Diametrix Diabetes Support and Milagro de la Selva tea are safe and have no known side effects. These products are 100% natural and have been used for hundreds of years even before our civilization.
- (e) NOTE THIS! You will never get recommendation for these products from the medical community. Not because doctors do not know or believe in them, but they cannot prescribe them. Why? They are not drugs. No matter how beneficial they are to you, you cannot claim that they may be used to diagnose, treat or cure any disease. They are food supplements, and you should use them as such.
A cup of Milagro de la Selva tea
The result of this clinical study on diabetics (real people, not rats!) is amazing. Diametrix™ is a special blend of diabetes natural remedies, each of which is known to promote normal blood sugar levels effectively and independently.
I suspect that you will get normal blood sugar levels and your doctor will see less of you, but never mind. Put your health first. There is only one of you in the whole universe! You cannot ever be replaced, so do not compromise your health.

What is diabetes like?
Actually, diabetes is starvation, except that it occurs at the cell level. Individual cells are deprived of glucose and they eventually die.
